Humphrey fever is still going strong as DT member Nicola Jolliffe has proved with this inventive new card, incorporating the easel card template with a box frame card. Below is full step-by-step instructions so that you too can recreate it!

What you need:-

Ultimate Pro Board & scoring tool
Spray & Sparkle-Gold & Irredescent
Collall glue gel & Syringe
Ruler
Scissors
2 A4 sheets of Centura Pearl Ivory cardstock
5 A4 sheets of Printable cardstock
1 sheet of satin printable paper
Humphrey CD:-
Occasions Frame Card
1 sheet of co-ordinating backing paper
Topper sheet
Alphabet – DADDY

1. Lay out all your materials so they are all at hand & easily accessible.

2. Using your D frame card sheet, score all the lines with ruler and scoring tool. Cut the centre aperture out, then the diagonal lines and then the whole frame. Also cut the left, right, top and bottom strips out. Fold all the scored lines inwards, right side facing, and use strong glue to secure the tabs, giving you the base frame. Spray with a good coverage of Spray & Sparkle gold spray.

3. Cut out all the different layers of your chosen picture. Add glue to the underside flaps and then put, right side up, onto the base picture, ensuring the flaps are pressed into place within the border. When dry add the four edge strips onto the inner frame, edge with glue and add the cut-out decoupage to the inner picture using Collall glue gel. Set aside and leave to dry.

5. With one piece of Ivory cardstock score into an A5 card blank using the half-fold A4 line, then score on one side. Score the gatefold A4 line for the second fold.

6. Fold the card in half and then fold the second score line into the centre to make a mountain fold.

7. Cut the second sheet of A4 centura cardstock into two A5 pieces. Glue one piece onto the second fold and the other onto the A5 half of the card.

8. Cut off the border from the sheet of printed backing paper, cut into two pieces and then glue to the two A5 pieces of card. Using Collall glue gel attach the frame card centrally to the easel part of the card.

9. Print a border sheet and attach the border, raised slightly to the lower part of the card, as a stop for the easel. Using the alphabet section, type ‘Daddy’ in capitals (size 5), print and spray with iridescent Spray & Sparkle. Cut out and apply to the base of the card with Collall glue gel.

10. Cut the buttons out from the printed topper sheet and then fix to either side of the frame.
