There is nothing more fun than a beautiful shaker card! There’s something so amazing about seeing the beads, glitter or sequins shaking around behind the acetate. They just light up absolutely any recipient’s face! However, there are so many brilliant designs that you can create that it can get a bit overwhelming, but we’ve got a solution!
The Shaker Card Stamp and Die Sets from Gemini were designed to bring a sense of fun and individuality to any cardmaking project, whilst helping to remove any of the fiddly bits that we all know and hate. We’ve put together this little gallery of inspiration to help you generate some ideas on how you could put these sets to good use. Plus, if you stick around til the end of the post, there may just be some Christmas sneak peeks! But before you get started, make sure you familiarise yourself with how to use these sets.
The Hip Hip Hooray set is ideal for birthdays as it features a balloon that would look amazing when cut from a variety of shades. Just look at how much it pops when cut from yellow card and filled with rainbow sequins! It would work so well for kids birthdays.
The Time to Shine set is one of the most versatile as it features a large star, which could work for a variety of occasions, such as graduations or just to show someone that you care. Try using it with glitter card for even more pizzazz!
Who doesn’t love a bottle of fizz? The shape of a prosecco bottle from the Prosecco Celebration set is absolutely ideal for anniversaries, birthdays, weddings and so much more. Have a go at pairing it up with metallic card for a bottle sheen effect and add circular confetti inside to represent bubbles.
How about pairing up two different card types – a shaker card and a suspension card – to form the most beautiful and interactive card possible? In the image above, you can see the heart from the Love Always set, filled with pastel sequins and suspended in the centre of card. Imagine opening that up on Valentine’s Day!
For a design with a difference, try pairing up a bold shape, like the cupcake from Sweet Birthday set, with a round card. This could work with absolutely any shape to really draw the eyes in!
For a fun pop of colour on summer party or hen do invitations, the Let’s Make Cocktails set will be right up your street. With dies included to help you make a cocktail umbrella and lemon or lime wedges, you can have lots of fun mixing your very own drinks. Try out shades of green and silver to represent a mojito, or pink and red for a Cosmopolitan.
Hopefully that’s enough inspiration to get you going, but as promised, here’s a little sneak peek at our Christmas Shaker Card Stamp and Die sets that will be released in August!
