Father’s Day Card with Sara Davies
Father’s Day is just around the corner so why not craft a handmade card this year? As seen with Sara, this card is super easy to make and is perfect for crafters of all abilities. Personalise with his favourite colour and give Dad, Grandad, or any father figure, a loving message!
Here’s what you will need:
- White Card
- Washi Tape
- Waterfall Duet Inkpad
- Starlit Sky Pearl Shimmer Inkpad
- Paint Brush
- Spectrum Noir Metallic Paint Markers - Liquid Gold
- Cut your white card to your desired size, we chose 4” x 6”.
- Take a piece of washi tapes and place across the centre of the card.
- On a smooth, wipeable surface (a glass mat is perfect for this) dab ink from the Duet Inkpad onto the surface.
- Using a brush dot water onto the ink, then take your piece of card and press down into the ink. Dry with a hair dryer or heat tool
- Next, take the Shimmer Inkpad and dab onto your surface. Press the card into the ink. Dry with a hair dryer or heat tool.
- Taking 4mm nib gold pen, write DAD onto the card filling the front of the card.
- Carefully remove the washi tape, and with the 0.7mm nib gold pen write ‘Happy Father’s Day’.
- Then, for the perfect finishing touch take a ruler and draw a gold border round the edge of your inked design.
- Mat and layer onto coloured card and then your card base. Now you have a handmade card for Father’s Day.
