Valentine’s Day has come and gone, but never fear we’re here with double the love for week three of our Handmade with Love campaign.

This week we’re treating you to twice the fun and crafty insights, as we sit down with not one but two members of our lovely Crafter’s TV family to hear their crafting love stories!

So grab a cuppa and get comfy as we get to know Bernie Corner and Fiona Clayton!

What do you love the most about crafting?

Bernie: My sewing room is my happy place. I feel so relaxed whilst sewing and especially love designing quilts.

Fiona:  Crafting is definitely “me” time – I love experimenting with products and ideas and seeing what else I can do with them!

What crafting tool or product can’t you live without?

Bernie: For me it has to be Stick and Spray for Fabric – it comes in handy for so many soft craft projects, I really do use it all the time!

Fiona: I love the Spectrum Noir Aqua markers, you can create some really beautiful effects with them. But to be honest, I love anything inky!

Which launch have you loved the most in the past six months?

Bernie: I couldn’t get enough of the Threaders Storage Templates. But we are launching something amazing for softcraft at the end of the month which I think will might even knock the Stick and Spray for Fabric off the top spot as my favourite launch ever!

Fiona: Without doubt the Glitter Markers – they are such fun and they even make your handwriting look pretty!

How and when did you first discover your love for crafting?

Bernie: I’ve been sewing in some form since I was a little girl but I really got back into it in 2009 and have been stitching away ever since!

Fiona: I was always a crafty kid but rediscovered my crafty mojo when I changed jobs about 10 years ago and haven’t looked back!

What makes a handmade card or gift so special?

Bernie: For me, it’s seeing the joy on the recipient’s face when they receive it – it’s such a lovely moment.

Fiona: If you take the time to make something for someone, you make it with love and that’s really special.

Who did you give your last crafty creation to?

Bernie: I made a twisted easel card for my Mam’s birthday.

Fiona: My mum!
