Spring has finally sprung which can only mean one thing. Wedding season is almost upon us!
Once the big day is over and you have time to sit and reflect on your amazing day spent with loved ones, why not get crafty and say a massive handmade THANK YOU to your guests?
Follow our guide below for inspiration on making your very own wedding thank you cards, including a handmade envelope to match.
For this project, we’ve used the following materials, but these can be tailored to your preferences and style.

- Gemini Verona Die Set
- Gemini Magnificent Butterflies Die Set
- Crafter’s Companion Many Thanks Stamp Set
- Crafter’s Companion Floribunda 12” x 12” Paper Pad
- Multi-Purpose Card
- Pink Card
- Spectrum Noir Water-Proof Inkpad: Noir Black
- Pink Ribbon
- Collall All-Purpose Glue
- Collall Tacky Glue
- Foam Pads/Tape: 2mm and 3mm Depth
- Red Liner Tape: 3mm Width
Getting started with your card
Cut a piece of multi-purpose card to 11” x 5 ½” and score at 5 ½” to create a 5 ½” x 5 ½” card base.
Using the Charming Hearts Die Set, cut the inner detailed die and the top outer edge into the front of the card base along the diagonal.
Mat a 5” x 5” piece of patterned paper onto a 5 ¼” x 5 ¼” panel of pink card and glue this into the inside of the card base. Mat a right-angled triangle of patterned paper onto a slightly larger triangle of pink card and mat onto the front of the card.
Use a thin piece of pink ribbon to thread through the die-cut design, securing the ends on the reverse using red liner tape
Stamp your chosen sentiment onto a heart cut from multi-purpose card and, using foam pads, layer it onto a pink die-cut heart. Adhere to the card as shown.
Finish with die-cut butterflies and a bow in the top right-hand corner.
Creating your envelope
Cut a piece of patterned paper to 9” x 9”.
Align the two opposite points onto the 5” line of a scoreboard and score at 2 1/8”. Repeat this for all 4 sides of the envelope.
Cut triangles into where the lines cross in all four corners.
Apply red liner tape along the two edges as shown to secure the envelope.
